Some of the landscapes
were created especially for this exhibition, such as the splendiferous
garden view of Scott Prior, suffused with romantic mauve light bathing
a garden filled with cosmos, tomatoes, bean house, amidst moist green
grasses and plants; a real place suggesting a paradisiacal vision when
the fog lifts--a garden of Brigadoon enchantment.

Ken Moylan, Grand Teton, Cathdral Group, 2003,
mixed media on masonite, 60 x 36 inches |
Ken Moylan's signature
window of inlaid wood veneers opens onto a landscape inspired by the majesty
of the Grand Tetons, and the ambiance of the Hudson River painters who
created idealized landscapes. Moylan's view is a dramatic one of mountain
peaks, a cascading river and cloud filled sky.
