Scott Prior, Community Garden at Sunrise, 2003, oil on linen, 47 x 99 inches

Some of the landscapes were created especially for this exhibition, such as the splendiferous garden view of Scott Prior, suffused with romantic mauve light bathing a garden filled with cosmos, tomatoes, bean house, amidst moist green grasses and plants; a real place suggesting a paradisiacal vision when the fog lifts--a garden of Brigadoon enchantment.
